Maintenance Tips for Back & Front Yard

A well-maintained yard not only contributes to peaceful outdoor vibes but also an instance curb appeal. Whether it is a small patch of grass or a large lawn, it is important to maintain the area to keep the back & front yard feeling and looking fresh and inviting. Here are a few easy maintenance tips.
Mow it before it turns into a jungle. Do not let the lawn overgrow. Weekly mowing is an ideal thing to do especially during spring and summer where the growth of weeds is rampant. Keep the mower blades sharp so that they give the desired cut. Do not cut more than one third of the height of grass. The lawn still needs to look lush and green.
Do not overwater as it contributes to root rot. Underwatering can also leads to dry and pale grass. Deep watering at least thrice a week early in the morning encourages the roots to grow even and deeper. It also helps the lawn become drought-resistant.
Weeds are the worst thing that could happen to a front & back yard. Remove them as fast as possible. Use mulch to block the sunlight so as to stop weed growth on flower beds. Use a combination of weed killer and slow release fertilizer for the lawn during early fall or spring to maximize the effects.
Trimming and pruning is a must alongside the trees, bushes and hedges. Occasional grooming such as pruning overgrown or dead branches and keep the plants look sharp and healthy. Rake up any debris and fall leaves to avoid pests and mold form up.
Create zones for various activities in the front & back yard. Designate an area for playing, gardening, relaxing or entertaining. Use outdoor rugs, tiles or gravel to separate these zones. This way the yard can be kept organized and functional.
The yard doesn’t need to have the fancy stuff. All it needs is regular care and love for it to thrive.
